Divide (1) by (2).4. Divide (3) by 0.035 and multiply by 100.......
Please guys help as best you can with working out showing. it would be appreciated. "Calculation of percentage yield of reaction - 5cm3 of ethyl benzoate equates to 0.035 and this is therefore the maximum number of moles of benzoic acid that can be produced for this reaction (and equates to 100% yield) The number of moles of benzoic acid that you have actually made is your weight of product divided by the relative molecular mass (often abbreviated to RMM, or sometimes MW or FW) of benzoic acid. This number of moles divided by the 0.035 maximum (and multiplied by 100) gives the %age yield.

Please help, how do i start with this and how can it be done. Thank you

-
1. Work out the mass of benzoic acid that you made.
2. Work out the Mr of benzoic acid (C7H6O2)
3. Divide (1) by (2).
4. Divide (3) by 0.035 and multiply by 100.
