My Question was what makes Graphene so strong, I heard from a few sources that it is supposedly the strongest material to be discovered. Graphene is a Two dimensional material contructed of carbon, When stacked it is considered Graphite. To my knowledge graphite is not the strongest material. So what makes graphene so strong? The atomic structure looks identicle.

Graphite is made up of a lot of graphene layers, but it isnt 100% compacted with graphene, think of a concrete wall with a hole in it, its easily breachable because you can use leveridge to demolish the remaining wall. However Graphene has been isolated from the packets in Graphite and combined into one element so now its a completely solid brick wall, still using the analogy. Scientific wise, it has Dirac quasiparticles, which are a huge contributer to the properties of the compound. I'm not going to go into the extremely in-depth details because you wouldn't know what im talking about, and I am not 100% informed about the 2 compounds.
