You know, I sort of think the chemical is AlCl3. I'll figure it out for both.
AlCl2

Al = 27 from the periodic table
Cl2 = 2 * 35.5 = 71

Total = 27 + 71 = 98
n = given mass / molar mass
n = ??
given mass = 50 grams.
Molar Mass = 98
n = 50 / 98 = 0.510

AlCl3
Al = 27
Cl3 = 3* 35.5 = 106.5
Molar Mass = 106.5 + 27 = 133.5
moles = ??
given mass = 50 grams
Molar Mass = 133.5
n = 50 / 133.5
n = 0.375
