Hi, I need to make a superhero and make 4 of its super powers based on the chemical properties of an element. I'm not sure how to do it so I was wondering if anyone could give me an element and an example so i can help get started.

I'm going to help you with this, but first I'm going to rant.
I've seen tens of questions like this on Y!A. For the life of me I can't figure out why high school teacher insist on having students spend valuable time doing these creative writing projects about science topics. The time we are going to waste doing this could be spent learning about chemistry. Chemistry doesn't need to be "livened up" with these monkey tricks. It is instrumental to all of the wonderful things we enjoy in our modern world. I find the facts and laws of chemistry far more interesting than making up nonsense about elements being superheros.
That being said my superhero example will be carbon.
Carbon is a superhero because it can form four strong bonds with anything including itself. In certain cases when it does this a diamond is formed. Diamond is the hardest substance known and it all carbon. As an added bonus when cut correctly diamonds mesmerize women. When it gets together with oxygen it makes CO2, one of the most stable compounds known. If it only binds with one oxygen instead of two it will kill for it's lust to make 4 bonds. When it is alone or combined with hydrogen it makes the fuels that run our world. If it gets together in long chains with other elements it can form a number of amazing molecules that are the basis for all life. When it gets together with other elements in small molecules it forms compounds that are very important for modern human existence. These molecules are called synthetic organic chemicals. They as used as solvents, fuels, and medicines.

Carbon, has the ability to take multiple forms, such as Graphite-man and Diamond-man each with different superpowers.
