overlap them.I ranked them as S, Se, As, Ga, K,......
Based on position in the periodic table and electron configuration, arrange these elements in order of decreasing E11.
Rank the elements from highest to lowest ionization energy. To rank items as equivalent, overlap them.

I ranked them as S, Se, As, Ga, K, Rb but that's wrong for some reasonn :( :( I did it based on the periodic table trends and I don't think any of them are exceptions. ahh please help guys it would be much appreciated!

Remember that a high ionization energy means it's HARDER to lose an electron. Whereas a low ionization energy means it's EASIER to lose an electron.

Usually, the lowEST ionization energy is on the bottom left; and the highEST ionization energy is on the top right.

As you move across a period, ionization energy INcreases because there's more protons in the nucleus that creates a stronger pull to its electrons.

As you move down a column, the ionization energy DEcreases because its outer valence electrons get further and further away from its positively charged nucleus that pulls the electrons.

In your case, it would be: S, As, Se, Ga, K, Rb
