I would like to plant a tree in my new garden and I like flowering trees. I live in the uk and this time of year there are a lot of cherry blossom trees (think that's what they're called) in full bloom, they are beautiful but when they shed their petals after a few weeks they make a terrible mess all over the ground and I'm worried my neighbour wouldn't be happy if they blew into his garden. So my question is do you know of a similar looking tree or any tree that flowers but doesn't shed it's petals so much? Ps. It doesn't have to be a huge tree. Thanks in advance

I'm afraid you're not going to find one. Trees have a job to do. Besides taking CO2 out of the air and turning it into wood, they also have to produce organic material to improve the soil. Without this material, there wouldn't be any good soil,only rock and sand.
