some animals may phosphorescence, some may bioluminescene. What's the difference between phosphorescence with bioluminescene?
-
the difference between phosphorescence and bioluminescence is that phsphorenscence is when something collects energy and slowly releases it in the form of light, for example anything glow on the dark. it takes in the light energy around it and uses it to "glow". where as bioluminescence is a chemical reaction. it's when an organism has the ABILITY to create the light chemically within them. for example some of the glowing fish are bioluminescence. so to put it in shorter terms, phosphorescence is the collecting of energy to radiate it as light, and bioluminescence is the chemical reaction within an organism which allows it to create light/glow
