Ecology project help

I'm doing a project where I have to analyze how building a parking lot will affect the environment. I am assigned to a small area in the woods and my job is to see how building this parking lot will impact the trees, plants, etc. I have pictures of the trees/plants and have fully identified them, but I'm not completely sure what I should write about in my powerpoint. Please help. Thanks!

Write about how in order to build the parking lot, many trees have to be cut down. Cutting down of trees is step one in deforestation, the trees will release carbon into the air after dying. Carbon is a greenhouse gas, it thickens the atmosphere and leads to global warming. Also, cutting down and destroying the habitat that existed before the parking lot would no longer provide a home for the organisms that once lived there. So, this would reduce biodiversity. Biodiversity is: Difference in organisms and species. Biodiversity is the reason why an ecosystem would survive, biodiversity also leads to medical and agricultural discoveries. Finally, the organisms that lived in the area of the parking lot would have to go elsewhere. This means that there will be competition between the species for resources such as food and water and especially niche.
