Hi,
Do the non-contractile/autorhythmic cells in the heart (such as in the SA node) lack actin and myosin fibers? Thank you!

All cells have some actin and myosin filaments.
But SA node cells certainly lack the quantities of actin and myosin fibers
that the other heart cells have.
They are more like neurons than muscle cells.
But they (along with AV node cells) develop from the same embryonic cells that the cardiac muscle cells develop from, and share their autorhythmic feature - although at a faster rate..
