Dominant-gene that will always affect an individual's phenotype
Recessive-gene that only affects an individual's phenotype
what is the difference between these two meanings
Dominant and Recessive alleles- are forms of a gene that interact in such a way that one is expressed [dominant] and the other is not expressed [recessive] if they occur together
could also explain the differences between these meanings
hope you can help

in every individual there are two genes for any trait.these two genes are called alleles of each other.so there are three possibilities 1) both genes are dominant 2)one is dominent and other is recessive and 3) both are recessive.
In 1st and 2nd possibility trait of dominant gene will be expressed and in only 3rd possibility trait of recessive gene will be expressed.
and genotype mean actual genes present there and phenotype mean outcome that appear.as in 1st and 2nd possibility the phenotype is same but genotype is different.

dominant gene can affect individual's genotype also whereas recessive cant...
