Who is right on this, my pastor or my science teacher

We just consider ourselves to be the toughest animals in the animal kingdom because of the fact that we are much more evolved than most other animals. 4. this is an old arguement. 3. We are animals, we eat, sleep, poop, drink, walk, run, we have emotions, we have fight or flight repsonses. We just consider ourselves to be the toughest animals in the animal kingdom because of the fact that we are much more evolved than most other animals.
4. this is an old arguement. Your pastor probably believes that we are separted from animals because we are given souls and a conscience. that is still a standing theory. but anatomically, we are as animal as a cat or dog. spiritually, we may not be on the same scale as a jellyfish or a rodent.
5. There is no reason to argue about that. You can essentially believe in both if you really want.

We are animals...think about how we have so many similar structures/organ systems and basic/natural behaviors as animals? i think to say that we are not animals is ignorant and closed minded. We just don't behave (well most of us) like wild animals, we have more than instincts to make our decisions.
You don't have to pick one or the other. We can be animals and still have our faith. :)

Science proves that we are animals. Humans are mammals, and mammals are animals! If something can we proved, that is correct. Besides, we are close descendants to monkeys, so that proves we are animals. And we have evolved through natural selection from fish to monkeys to humans.

Your science teacher is correct, tho we are civilized and have higher thought abilities, we are still in the animal kingdom (animalia for u perfectionists) so yes, scientifically speaking, humans are classified as animals, after all, we are evolved from primates, and they are animals too

Your pastor is wrong.
Consider the possibility that your pastor is also wrong about other things. Change churches. Don't give your money to a church that's run by an uneducated git.

humans are in the mammal group which other animals are too.. but we are not wild and the only species who can talk and walk and all that fun stuff. thats actually a really good question.. maybe its opinion but id say that we are not animals
