What has Genetic engineering solved

It is a lot more efficient and quick than the older method collecting insulin from animals.-There is a type of grain that has been engineered to grow better.......
I am looking into doing a biological report. I want to do it on something to do with genetic engineering. It needs to have a clear problem, or more, and a clear solution, or more.

I have looked into the resurrecting extinct animals from frozen tissue samples, this seems really interesting, but I couldn't find information of any problems or solutions.

Does anyone have any ideas, or a few problems and solutions of the extinct animals matter?
Thanks in advance.

If you have ever heard of humulin, you could do that. It has been around for a very long time, so there is probably plenty of info online. Humulin is insulin that is produced by bacteria (using genetic engineering, to introduce the human insulin gene into the E. coli bacteria). Obviously this was a huge discovery for Diabetes patients. It is a lot more efficient and quick than the older method collecting insulin from animals.

There is a type of grain that has been engineered to grow better. I think its now being used to solve famine in Africa
