How do they know there are not aliens on the moon

I saw a movie that was good about robots from the moon. And then there was one with crabs. How do they know that there are not, in fact, aliens on the moon. they havent looked over the whole thing. they only went to the surface in the 70s. MAYBE.

No. There are probes in orbit of the Moon right now, including one with a camera operated by Arizona State University, who also processes all of the data from it. At the low end of its orbits, it can pick out foot trails from the Apollo missions.

I let my significant other design my avatar. I kind of like it, even if it pokes fun at my poor fashion sense. Your hypothesis that I'm creating a cool online persona is not supported by the fact that I'm answering questions about astronomy, or using the world hypothesis.

Well actually "they" have looked over the whole thing. Many different countries have sent probes to the Moon. the Lunar Reconnaisance Orbiter is in orbit around the Moon as we speak, and has been for a few years, sending back thousands of photos of the entire lunar surface. The photos are detailed enough that they show the footpaths left behind by the astronauts. It would be pretty hard to miss an alien civilization.

You are correct that not all the moon has been explored. Even if we orbit satellites with cameras just a few KM above the surface, and have moon quake seismographs registering the slightest tremors and motions, that is still not absolute proof of nothing being there.
But where is there any sign of anything moving or leaving a trail in moondust like our astronauts did in the 1970s?
