We're just learned about parallax and things about stars today and I'm starting a lab and I can't find the answer? Can anyone help?
Thank you,

Very accurate position or angle measurements from two different observation points.

Computing stellar parallax is achieved using trigonometry by measuring how much an object of interest moves against background objects that are further away. Usually two measurements are taken 6 months apart, so that the diameter of the Earth's orbit around the Sun forms the baseline of the triangle. See the link I've provided for a diagram & more information.
