Do you think this is creepy(solar storm)

in movies -- like 2012). There are over 30 earthquakes PER DAY on this planet. Because we only get hit by CME a few times per month, then it is very difficult to establish a link between flares and earthquakes.......
This solar storm thing sounds like the movie ( knowing) with nicolas cage
1 I read stuff that said solar flares hit earth before earthquakes in chille and japan (world disaster cause of flares like in the movie)

2CA,mexico,and other places that i forgot had a bad blackout after a flare but blamed on someone pull wrong switch(maybe true or not)

3Just like in the movie we had the gulf oil spill that happened years after the movie

4In the movie the earth was destroyed from the solar storm(end of the world)
Now we have a solar storm/flares in 2012 (saying to be the end of the world)

5This flares mess up satellite, gps, power grids, planes etc that can cause big problems (like the movie)

I dont think anything is going to happen but its creepy how writers write things that come true
Sorry for my spelling and if i dont make sense
What the you think of this?

Linking any real scientific fact to a Nicolas Cage movie NEVER makes sense.

Solar flares happen every day (many times a day) and they are local events on the Sun's surface. They can never reach Earth (except, of course, in movies -- like "Knowing").

The magnetic event that enhances a flare can also cause the ejection of mass (particles) from the corona (atmosphere) of the Sun. These events are called Coronal Mass Ejections = CME.

CME happen all the time and the stuff is shot out into space (clouds of charged particles) at random. Most of them miss us (Earth is small and space is big), but we do get "hit" often enough (a dozen times already this year, including twice in the same week in January).

Earthquakes are underground events that have nothing to do with flares (except, of course, in movies -- like "2012"). There are over 30 earthquakes PER DAY on this planet. Because we only get "hit" by CME a few times per month, then it is very difficult to establish a link between "flares" and earthquakes.
