What are significant features about the sun

also, how do the sun and earth differ?

how it works in itself. The magnitude of its mass creates a huge gravity pull on itself from every angle thus creating a chemical reaction between its two main components Hydrogen and Helium. That reaction is slowed down by the strong force (another one of the four natural forces) which lets the sun burn slowly. If this reaction didn't exist the sun wouldn't obviously release energy in the form of light and heat and thus the existence of you and me.

Just think about it a bit.

What do you know about the sun. You know its hot, you know the Earth moves around it in one year (you do know that, right...?). And of course, its real easy to find information in just a few seconds of searching online:

Now think about what you know about the Earth. You know its not hot, you know it orbits the sun (you do know that, right...?)
