Is there something wrong with me? I believe that I am the centre of the universe.

I sincerely hold the belief that I am at the centre of the universe and that everything around me - people, places, planets, sensations, oceans, galaxies, activities, smells, sound, love, hate - is all revolving around me as the central focal point.

I have believed this all of my life but recently doubt has found a path into my soul and I have been wondering if this is not true and maybe I am suffering from delusions of grandeur or narcicissism.

Anyone else feel like this?

You are not the center of the universe. You are just an imperfect person with flaws just like everyone else.
The fact that you think that everything focuses on you is, in itself, a flaw.

Hi Dereon, I have a slightly different twist on the same concept, but it removes any narcissistic element. We each experience the universe through our senses, so for each of us, ourselves is at one end of the universe. I prefer to say "end" rather than "centre". There is no other end of the universe, for each of us, it only has one end. No matter how far we travel in the universe, each of us remains at our end of the universe and we never reach any other end. As I said, for each of us, so there are many many ends (as many ends as people) of the universe, however each of us can only exist at one of them. This also answers the question as to whether the universe is finite or infinite.

You are not the centre of the universe per se, but the world would be different without you. You are the centre of your own life though, and you influence the people around you. So although you may not be the centre of the universe, (that's the sun btw), you are the centre of your own life.

If the scientists are right, and the universe is infinite then yes, you are at the center of the universe. I am also at the center of the universe, and so is everyone else. That's just another strange facet of how infinities work.
