I've heard there was ice on the moon.

Which one is true?

Any water on the surface of the moon would necessarily be in the form of ice. Most of this has already sublimated (vaporized directly out of the solid phase) when exposed to the relative warmth of the sunlight, but in the polar regions there are areas that see little or no direct sunlight, especially in the deeper craters. In those regions, ice is probably not uncommon.

It's water ice. You have to be specific because when talking about other planets "ice" just means a substance that is usually liquid or gas at room temperature has become a solid. Since these can be pretty damn cold this ice could be water or it could be nitrogen, methane, carbon dioxide etc. so you always clarify and say water ice so that people know that you mean the solid form of H2O. There is water ice on the moon but it exists only in parts per million quantities.

It would be ice, because the surface temperature at the poles is below freezing, and they don't get much sunshine.
