The earth rotates on its axis, how come we don't see our environment spinning

If you were up in space looking down, you might see it revolve very slowly.-We do.You should look at the night sky early in the evening, and check back every hour or so........
We are all spinning at the same rate so no, we can't see it spinning. If you were up in space looking down, you might see it revolve very slowly.

We do.

You should look at the night sky early in the evening, and check back every hour or so... you'll notice everything has rotated about 15 degrees westward.

Or, if you don't have the patience, ask to look through someone's telescope next opportunity you get. Ask them to point the scope at Polaris. And watch how that star stays in the center of the field of view all night. Then select another target, something closer to the celestial equator, like Rigel or Altair. Notice how this star moves out of the field of view in minutes (assuming the telescope does not have a tracking system to account for Earth's rotation, of course).

Depends what you mean by "our environment". Anything else on Earth is spinning at the same rate- you, me, the Starbucks down the road- so there's no relative motion.

But consider stuff which *isn't* on the Earth. Why do you think the Sun rises and sets?

-
cuz its moving too slow

-
what do you think sunrise and sunset are? a Quinn-Martin Production?
