IF the sun exploded,how long could we survive without it,and what all would happen

-Im not sure how long exactly we would last-maybe a few days or a week at the most- but before it blew up it would get really big and the Earth would dry up, like a desert kind of, then when it finally did explode everything would go cold and dark. This is only what Ive read in science books -not sci-fi though- and I really hope this never happens:[-Well, the speed of light is 3*10^8 m/sSo it would be a few minutes before we even noticed the sun was gone.An hour after that and the world would be at absolute zero and everything wouldve frozen.......
Note, some extremeophile bacteria could continue to survive near the ocean floor, near heat vents generated from inside of the Earth.

Well, the speed of light is 3*10^8 m/s
So it would be a few minutes before we even noticed the sun was gone.
An hour after that and the world would be at absolute zero and everything would've frozen.

If it exploded, we would all be dead in a matter of seconds. It only takes eight seconds for light from the sun to get to earth, so I'm guessing it's about that long before we would be hit head on by the explosion.

if the sun exploded, our galaxy wouldnt exist anymore. The Sun keeps our orbit aligned and without it we would fly off and crash into other celestial objects then die.

About 8 minutes after the explosion we would see the event and probably die. Thats assuming we wernt flung out into space first.
