The modern "Lunar Landing Hoax" hoax is the work of a domestic group within America who are trying to erode confidence in American institutions (including the government); they are doing it for their own selfish objectives. The reason the word hoax has to be used twice is that they actually know that their Lunar Landing Hoax story is, itself, a fake story.
They know that the landing took place for real. They don't care. Their objective is NOT to prove that the landing was false. Their objective is to make sure that you lose confidence in government agencies and in science in general. It is the same principle as Trump continuing to question the validity of Obama's birth certificate.
Trump already knows that the certificate everyone saw (a couple of year ago) is real. His objective is NOT to prove the certificate is false. His objective is just to get people to lose confidence in Obama.
It is the same kind of idea.

They were real, no question. All six manned landings could only have been real for the simple reason it would have been impossible to fake them. Even today, with cutting edge 21st century special effects you couldn't fake a moon landing. You could probably fool a few people for a while, but it would not stand up to over 40 years of close scrutiny like the real thing has.
You probably aren't aware of the HUGE amount of data generated by the manned Apollo programme, there are thousands of still photographs, hundreds of hours of video, hundreds of kilogrammes of rock samples, hundreds of hours of spacecraft telemetry recordings, hundreds of hours of voice recordings from both the spacecraft and mission control. This list just scratches the surface.
All this, done without secrecy, all in the public eye, even the embarrassing failures and disasters like Apollo 1 and 13.
Impossible to fake.

It was quite real. All SIX landings. TV remote controls and transistor radios existed in the early 1960's. All that we didn't have in 1969 that we have now is silicon chip based technology. Watch the episode of Mythbusters where they debunk all the claims and conspiracy theories about the moon landings. If six people can't keep a conspiracy secret for more than four yours (Watergate scandal, late 1970's) 40,000 or more people (NASA employees and all the employees of the companies NASA had contracts with) cannot maintain a conspiracy for 42 years. Besides, if any of those landings WERE fake, the U.S.S.R. would have exposed it A.S.A.P. They had a spy ship off of Cape Kennedy/Canaveral on EVERY SINGLE Apollo Moon launch, including Apollo 13. The USA DID beat the U.S.S.R in the Space Race to put human beings on the moon.
