Would an adult crocodile win over an adult lion

It's true that an adult of either kind would kill and eat the baby of the other kind, right?

The crocodile would almost certainly win in deep water. In shallow water the croc would probably win but on dry land all bets are off. The croc could certainly win if it managed to bite the lion. A lion could probably kill the crocodile but it would have to be really desperate to try.

it depends on where the animals are. in the water, the crocodile has the advantage because lions hate water and cant close their nostrils to go under the water
on land, the lion has the greater advantage because crocodiles are slow and have a hard time moving
but overall i'd have to with the lion because they have long razor like claws and dagger like teeth that would ultimately dominate a crocodile
