102. 8 grams x 6.02x10^23 then divide with 18.02

I know the answer's 3.435x10^24.

How do you multiply a number with exponents?

*i feel stupid. can't believe i forgot.

102.8*6.02*10^23/18.02

forget the power of ten and multiply the numbers: 102.8*6.02/18.02 = 34.35 = 3.435*10;
then bring in the power of ten 3.435*10 * 10^23; add the exponents of 10: (1 + 23 = 24) to get the new exponent of 10: 10^24 so the answer is 3.435*10^24.

Alternately, multiply/divide it all together, keeping the 10^23 as just another number to get 34.35*10^23; then shift the decimal point to the left, and for each position, increase the power of ten by one.

Given 102. 8 grams x 6.02x10^23 then divide with 18.02
=>(102.8*6.02*10^23)/18.02
=>(618.856*10^23)/18.02
=>34.3427*10^23
=>3.43427*10^24
