I typed this wrong originally, so I reposted.
Original Equation:
x^2 - 15 = 2x
So I changed it to:
x*2 - 2x - 15 = 0
...which factors to...
(x+3) (x-5)
...making (x = -3) or (x = 5)
The answer choices are:
a) x
b) -2
c) both are equal
d) not enough information
Neither of those answers technically fit my calculations...-3 is less than -2 but 5 is more than -2 and neither is equal, and there is plenty of information...

Agree. It's a bad question. All choices are wrong.
