Can someone please tell me if cow ants are poisonous

i was wondering if cow ants are poisonous because i was just about bit by one and my brother got bit. this is sort of an emergency situation.

Do you mean "cow killers?"

These are not ants but solitary wasps which are red and black. Like most wasps, they can sting. Solitary wasps paralyze other insects to provide their larva with food. The sting is very painful because of the potent neurotoxins, but people are too large to be actually paralyzed. These wasps are not dangerous unless one is allergic to wasp stings. If not, there is just a certain amount of swelling and a lot of pain.

Not much, they are not true ants, but wingless wasps.... which is really pretty much what ants are. They have very painful bites, but not really any more harmful than any other common wasp unless you have an allergic reaction to it. Painful, but not deadly.
