Now that's an interesting question! Crocodiles are one of the reptiles that show high levels of parental care. You might look into how crocodiles nest, and what they do with the nest while the eggs are in it, what they do when the eggs are hatching, and how they treat the hatchlings while they're very small.
I've given you some starter links, but I bet you can find a bunch more once you know what you're looking for. The only caveat here, is that you have to be a bit careful about information. When it amounts to "I hear that this happens.." stories, be skeptical; when it's based on eye-witness stuff, it's a bit more believable, but not until it's well-documented and preferably comes from multiple, independent sources can it be considered credible.
