im still shaking and im pretty scared to be honest.-Lightning may have struck a near by power line or power transformer. The surge of electricity from the lightning bolt may have traveled into the homes electrical wiring. It could have caused the wiring to melt or catch on fire. Possibly something that was plugged into the outlets was damaged. If you still smell a burning smell and/or see any smoke,......

Lightning may have struck a near by power line or power transformer. The surge of electricity from the lightning bolt may have traveled into the home's electrical wiring. It could have caused the wiring to melt or catch on fire. Possibly something that was plugged into the outlets was damaged. If you still smell a burning smell and/or see any smoke, please call your local fire department as there may be a fire behind the walls or ceiling.

*Update: Since the coaxial cable was burned, that means that lightning struck a near by coaxial cable line on a power pole. The electricity traveled through the cable and into your bedroom.
