81m/s^2) = 2.Velocity = 9.81m/s^2 × 2.7seconds = 26.......
A flowerpot falls from a window sill 35.8m above the sidewalk. What is the velocity of the flowerpot when it stikes the ground with the acceleration of gravity is 9.81 m/s^2
answer in m/s

How much time does a passerby on the sidewalk below have to move out of the way before the flowerpot hits the ground in seconds?

So Im lost, any help at all would be amazing, how to I work out this problem?
thankyou so much for you help!!

There are much easier ways, but this one is easy to remember:
Distance = 1/2 acceleration × (time)^2
D=1/2at^2, t = √(2d/a) = √(2×35.8m/9.81m/s^2) = 2.7 seconds (time of flight)

Velocity = acceleration × time
Velocity = 9.81m/s^2 × 2.7seconds = 26.5m/s (impact velocity)
