I recently had a deep philosophical conversation with a friend.
We discussed if it were possible that a 2-brane that result form a flop transition enveloped tachyons then this could be a mechanism that drives the arrow of time.
My question is can an inside surface of a 2-brane drive a mirror charge of the reverse surface and result in an entropic distribution mechanism?
My friend seems to think yes, but failed to explain why.

Out of curiosity, post the math backing up your assertion......:-)

If you refer to the reverse surface being negative (like a saddle) and not flat (in 2d flat space, infinite space abounds, in a sphere or negative space, space is finite or limited), and the temporal flux of the branes are in close approximation to one another, and since tachyon condensation gives rise to producing particles of mater, it is at the point where the branes pinch or collide that the arrow of time begins, and a new universe is formed, and that is where all matter begins (think big bang). Entropy cannot exist without time as a function, so the mechanism of which you speak happens in the presence of gravity as a result of the new universe being formed. Or course that is strictly my understanding, as I have a hard time understanding the Higgs mechanism in the standard model. I have no way of knowing if my answer has weight, but the question was very deep, and I enjoyed the topic as a change of pace from the *lower IQ* topics that abound in such a forum.
