!!!f=fundamental frequency, L=length of the wire, T=tension,......
. A 2.0 m long piano string of mass 10 g is under a tension of 338 N. Find the speed with
which a wave travels on this string?

Please help!!!!

using v=f *lambda
If you consider fundamental frequency f=1/2L*root T/m
f=fundamental frequency, L=length of the wire, T=tension, m=mass per unit length(linear density)
By equating the above equation in v=f *lambda, lambda cancels off. So v=root T/m
v=root 338*2/10*10-3
v=root 338*2*100
v=260ms-1
