If an aircraft carrying a Hydrogen Bomb crashed, would the bomb detonate

As in would nuclear fission/fusion occur?

From what I understand (which isn't much) a hydrogen bomb consists of a fission bomb connected to some fusion fuel, and it's the fission which sparks the fusion. But it's all very specific right? It's not just like you ignite it and the whole thing goes off like conventional explosives. So, would a plane crash actaully detonate the bomb or would it just damage it?

If the crew were ready to drop the bomb. They armed and programmed it, pushed all the right buttons, and turned the right keys, and the bomb was set to be triggered by it's altimeter or GPS, then there was a major electronics malfunction, and then the plane went down, then the bomb might go off. Assuming there isn't an interlock with it's mount, or it was also malfunctioning. Assuming there is no proximity detector on the bomb.

There are a lot of people paid to think about these kind of scenarios, and design devices to keep the bomb from accidental detonation. The chances of this kind of accident are incredibly small.

Most likely not as there is an arming sequence that has to occur. Normally this is done just prior to bomb release so an accident would not set off the bomb (at least under normal circumstances). Probably the bomb would be damaged on impact.

No, nuclear bombs are not like explosive bombs, they won't go off from pressure or heat. They have many safety interlocks that are also in place to prevent any inadvertent explosion.
