What is the point of studying physics

made of ashes of stars that died eons ago, put together and reanimated by starlight.Nature is worthy of studying!-Because without physics, the computer in which you type now would not exist. Why?......

The small amount of research I have done since I discovered the beauty of physics is enough for me to give a good enough answer to questions like: Why does the wind blow? Why is Earth spherical? How does the inner process, called "thermonuclear fusion" of the Sun relate to the tears of joy which left the eyes of your mother when she hugged you for the first time? ...and much more.

Everything that could be called beautiful, the human race, the human soul and even love is a product of the ancient laws of the Universe. Every atom of every human that had ever existed came from stars that blew up billions of years ago. The arrangement of those atoms in forms of living beings needed energy which all came from sunlight.

You are one of the most complex physical objects ever studied, a human being, made of ashes of stars that died eons ago, put together and reanimated by starlight.

Nature is worthy of studying!

Because without physics, the computer in which you type now would not exist. Why? Well electricity is a branch of physics. So are the circuits and micro chips.

So would that car you drive, the baseball bat, the baseball...

Hmmm.. Just about everything you use requires physics.

And if there were natural disasters that would render the world a hostile environment, the physics/engineering majors would be the ones who are more likely to survive.

When you were a small child did you ask questions like, "why is there air?" "what are the stars?" "why does water feel cold?" "what makes colors?" At what point did you stop questioning the world around you? People who never stop asking those questions become physicists. If you have no desire to understand the world, then there is no need for you to study physics.

There is no point if you have no intentions on creating or discovering anything useful at any point in your life.

i hate physics too
but the point is i get marks for studying it
