A 500.0 Ohm resistor is connected to a 3.0 V battery. Calculate the current through this resistor
-
V = IR
I =V/R = 3.0 V/500.0 Ohm = 6.0 mA
I =V/R = 3.0 V/500.0 Ohm = 6.0 mA

Any chance you know how to Calculate the power dissipated in the resistor??

Ohms Law States thatVoltage ( E ) is equal to Current (I) times Resistance (R).
If E= IR then I = E/R ( Dividing both sides of the equation by R)
Thus I = 3 / 500 = 0.006 A or 6.0 ma
If E= IR then I = E/R ( Dividing both sides of the equation by R)
Thus I = 3 / 500 = 0.006 A or 6.0 ma
