Coulomb's law I am trying to solve for q
F=K*q1q2/d squared
q1 and q2 are the same so
F=K*q squared/ d squared
you multiple by d squared and you are left with
Fd squared= K*q squared
Now I divide by K
q= sq.rt. of Fd squared/K
Is that correct?

Yes correct.

Yes. But it's a bit neater to write something like q = sqrt(Fd^2/k)
-
yeah and remember you will get two values of q. +/- sqrt
