My cousin went to a psychic for a reading and the psychic told her that in the near future she is going to find the love of her life, she is convinced that this is really going to happen to her. I want to believe, but is it possible that a psychic or clairvoyant can really predict the future?

Good Question,
It depends, if he/she is a real psychic /clairvoyant. If they are authentic psychics, they can see, sense, feel beyond the 5 senses, and using different psychic tools, like Tarots, pendulum, runes, Angel cards, they can gather very accurate insights.
Anybody however, if they calm down, meditate or relax, can be open to and tune into extrasensory signs, messages and visions coming from Spirit Spirit Guides, or other parallel dimensions. Psychics can do this easily and accurately.
However, reality is not written in stone, and changes all the time, according to feelings, thoughts and beliefs people have, which science has proven to have a specific, measurable energy frequency, and which, can change the electromagnetic frequency of reality around us and so changing the future. everything is energy at the basics of all matter.
If your cousin continues to believe she is going to meet her soul mate soon, and feel it with all her sensory perceptions, what the psychic told her, is going to really become true!
I hope this helps!

If your future could be predicted it would imply that it is fixed and unchangeable. If that were the case, nothing you could do would make any difference.
Usually, any "predictions" are so generalised that you can interpret them in ways so that they "fit the facts".
Some people believe in the horoscopes published in newspapers, conveniently forgetting that:
1.)Each "sign" applies to about 1/12th. of the world's population.
2.) Even if you change the "signs" around, the "prediction" can still be made to fit.
3.) The planets only have very slight gravitational effects on other planets, not control over peoples' lives.

They only thing that a 'psychic' can reliably predict is that a fools and his money are soon parted.
There is no such thing as psy power; why wouldn't they win the lottery each and every time?

Psychics don't predict your future, they predict your money that will soon be in their pocket!

Nope. Depending on how you look at it, it's either a scam or entertainment.

Come on. That's exactly what your cousin wanted to hear.
