Do ouija boards really work

They work on the ideomotor effect - you're moving it yourself, whether you realize it or not. This is not a matter of opinion. That's how they work, every time. If you could really use them to contact spirits, we wouldn't need to hold murder trials. There are millions of dollars in prizes out there for anyone who could really contact a spirit using one, and if they could, it would be easy to prove. No one ever has. Spirits, angels, demons - none of those things really exist. It's just superstition.

They really do. And they are BEYOND dangerous. I've had a cousin play with one before. It was several of my cousins (I refused to join in) and they started playing. Later I heard screams and he came upstairs with 3 long scratches, that broke the skin, on his back.
My friend played with one, and she had a dark entity follow her. She was tormented for a good while before she began to get really religious.
These things are VERY VERY VERY dangerous. And I do not advise ANYONE to use one.

Yes they do, don't be use one! I swear to God, you'll regret it. The last commenter is wrong, even if she has "Top Contributor". They were right, don't mess around! It works. My moms sister did it once and it was so scary and messed up. Please don't do it, for the good of your life.

Honestly I have to say a lot of these people on here are right. Ouija boards are EXTREMELY dangerous and I would never ever mess with one. You are taking a big chance even touching one of those. Be wise and stay away from them. Period.

Hi Panda. I see where you're coming from. If you want to find out about the afterlife, go ghosthunting, do research, but please, please don't do the ouija board. You say you're not religious, I understand and respect that. But, even if it was a slim chance to get a demon (which it's definitely not), it's not worth it. Let's say you do open the door and allow demons in, let's just say. Sometimes, at first they'll seem harmless, they will turn on you eventually. Now you'd be stuck with them. They're not like spirits who you tell them to leave and usually they will, no way. Demons were invited in, either knowingly or unknowingly, and they're there to stay. Since you're not religious, then what are your options? Take a look at Alister Crowley, well, he was a nut-job, but, he was a satanist, infatuated with demons, and he would conjure them up. His followers did the same, some went crazy, some suicide, due to the demons (supposedly). They're not pets, they're very dangerous, very frightening, and they are great deceivers. If you wanted to contact a spirit, how would you know it's not a demon pretending to be a spirit? So, even if there was just a slight chance, it's not worth the risk. I grew up in a house with demons. We did do the ouija board (very stupid), although nothing happened with the board, all hell broke loose after that. Most people who've had bad experiences have learned their lessons. Please, don't do this.
