It would take a true investigation of your house to full establish whether or not there was reason to believe it was haunted. However, based on what you have said, I think that most paranormal investigators would be willing to do an investigation to try to determine what is going on. As for the age of a house or its location, those can be factors in a haunting, but they are not the only things involved. Ghosts or spirits can come and go as they wish, and can become confused as to where they are even. And then there are other factors that can seem like a haunting but have other explanations that could even apply in a newly built house such as minor mistakes in wiring or plumbing, or possibly what lies in the ground under the house. These types of things are why it can be hard to diagnose a haunting without actively investigating the location.

Im usually not into the whole "paranormal" ideals but what you have is what I consider a classic haunting. Im honestly not sure if you speaking the truth, that is how generic your story is. If you are telling the truth, Im sorry for my rude fullness. My only thought on how to solve this is just to deal with it, if it does no harm and you don't acknowledge it they should go away, something most people dont bother doing. But if you can convince you parents and prehaps have a bit on money to waste go talk to a ghost busting group, they are all over the US and UK.

well if they arent hurting anyone, I wouldnt worry too much about it. Talk to it. Whatever it is. Tell it you want to sleep without disturbance. Some ghosts or entities are just curious I guess. Just tell whatver it is to leave you a note if they want to talk to you. By the sound of it, they arent hostile. Just fond of playing pranks. Sometimes, these things feed off our fears.
