You probambly should maintain some distance between the two so as to prevent interference with accessing and deploying the fire blanket. The blanket box is mounted vertically so that an individual can get along side it grab a handle an roll around to pull the blanket out and wrap themselves up in it. You would want to have a clear area next to the blanket box to allow an individual that is on fire to quickly do this maneouver with bumping into any obstruction on the wall. Also other people would want to be able to get to the extinguisher so they can get to and use the extinguisher without interferring with the person wrapping themselves up into the blanket.
