My grandma was making eggs the other day, and when she cracked open the egg there was a small, hard object in it. Its about the size of a pea. Its around the color of a piece of egg yolk. My grandma is convinced that the chicken swallowed a stone or something, but isn't sure. Anyone who can answer, I'd really appreciate it. She's had it in a little cup full of water for the past two weeks and just showed it to me today. Thanks.

It is more than likely a piece of calcium carbonate-shell material that formed inside the egg shell.
[the digestive tract is not connected to the reproductive tract as far as a swallowed stone. Chickens do eat stones that they use to grind their food.]

Yes, the chicken swallowed a stone and now the stone is becoming a chicken oyster. Your grandma is really smart.
