I'm going to a caribbean med school where we'd do our last 2yrs of clerkship in the US,
was wondering just how hard it is for int'nal med graduates to do their residency in the US?
I know there's the whole matching system, but would they narrow me out only cuz im not a US citizen?
What and how high are my chances of actually doing residency in the US after i graduate?

No offense meant whatsoever, but Caribbean schools have a horrible reputation here in the US(see my source below). I have heard first hand from doctors that it is extremely difficult to get a residency here in the US if you went to medical school down there. The term "diploma mill" comes up a lot. Again, just what I've heard here, no actual experience with Caribbean schools.
I don't know if you guys take the USMLE boards down there, but if you don't you HAVE to take them, and blow them out of the water to have a shot at getting into a US residency. The fact that you're doing clerkship here should also help. Ask your assistant dean or a similar person in faculty about this. They would probably know a lot about how hard this is to do.
hope this helps
