a) write down an expression, in terms of x, for the price in dollars, be paid for each toy.
{I know this one is $27 over x}
b) he proposed to sell each you at a profit of 50 cents. Show that his proposed selling price for each toy was $54 + x over 2x

Selling price of each toy = (27+0.5x)/x
In words: ((total cost of all toys + (profit per toy)(# of toys))/(# of toys)
Notice that (27+0.5x)/x = (54+x)/2x
It's just every term of (27+0.5x)/x multiplied by 2
