Negative: eg x^-1 = 1/x
y^-7 = 1/y^7

Anything to zero exponent: eg 7381319 ^0 =1
xyz^0=1

Proof: x^a / x^b = x^a-b
Suppose we have x^4/x^4
Anything over itself is equal to 1. eg 4/4 =1, x/x=1, x^4/x^4=1
x^4/x^4= x^4-4=x^0
x^4/x^4=1
x^0=1
