(cscθ-1) (cscθ+1)= cot²θ
what i did:
csc²θ+cscθ-cscθ (these two cancel out and ...........)
cscθ²+ 1= cot²θ (my answer)

No,
your answer is a little wrong. On the left side you have :
(cscθ-1) (cscθ+1) = csc²θ - 1
which is absolutely (1/sin²θ) - 1 = (1-sin²θ) / sin²θ = cos²θ / sin²θ = cot²θ
