Can some one show me how to divide 5000 by 7800 in long division

i just need a little help. Im teaching myself Physics and i just need a refresher on long division with large numbers so i can stop relying on the calculator so much :) any help would be helpful

AT WHICH POINT THE CORRECT ANSWER IS 0.641025 WITH A BAR OVER THE DIGITS 641025.

THE NUMBER DISPLAYED ON YOUR CALCULATOR IS ONLY AN APPROXIMATION OF THE EXACT VALUE.

So you have the fraction 5000/7800. Start by cancelling 100 out of the top and bottom to get 50/78. Now divide the top and bottom by 2 to get 25/39. This is an easier problem. Now for the long division.

39 goes into 250 six times to get 234, so it goes into 25.0 0.6 times to get 23.4. The remainder is 1.6. 39 goes into 1.60 0.04 times to get 1.56, with remainder 0.04. To two significant figures, the result of the division is 0.6 + 0.04 = 0.64. Now, this was a very ugly and nonintuitive description of the process. If you actually want to see it done on paper, you can probably find a good video at khanacademy.org.
