I know in algebra 1 we did a lot of slope and polynomials, but what is algebra 2. I'm just asking so that I know what to study over the summer to be prepared. ( I know I'm a nerd:). Also I'm taking geometry next year so what can i expect in that class?

I just finished my year in algebra 2. Algebra 2 is graphing conic sections (circles, parabolas, hyperbolas, ellipses) which is SUPER easy. and then graphing different functions like absolute values, exponential equations, logarithmic equations. You learn logarithms in the middle of the year which is also really easy. Combinations, I found those pretty hard and expanding binomials. Its completely different from algebra 1. I absolutely love math and find in incredibly easy, so hopefully you feel the same way. Geometry is soooooo easy, you just apply algebra 1 skills to shapes to solve for missing angles, side lengths, and variables. However most kids I know find it really difficult to grasp conceptually.

Algebra 2 is just like Algebra one but double the work.

More numbers and letters. In geomotry be prepared to learn the shape inside and out.
