Remember that the mode is just the number with the greatest frequency. As you know, the mean is the sum of all the numbers divided by number of numbers.
You can make up a bunch of different sets to satisfy your requirements. I'm going to start with three 8's - and make sure we don't have three or more of any other number.
3 @ 8 = 24. Mean = 8 Now, what if you had only 4 numbers in the set? To make the mean = 6 the sum of the numbers would have to be 4 x 6 = 24. Okay, 0 would work: 0,8,8,8 has a mode of 8 and a mean of 6.
5 numbers? Sum has to be 30. 8,8,8,1,5. Mode = 8, mean =
10 numbers? Sum must be 60 to keep the mean at 6: 8,8,8,9,10,1,2,3,4,7 will work.
