Maths is stupid? It is, you can't win.

I didn't say it was useless, but it's absouletly stupid. I don't see the "Logic" in it at all really. It's just that= that so it's that. There isn't much to it really.I've been doing this maths problem for ages( still trying to get it into my head really) I just know when I put it into algebra question, it equals that. And, there is nothing else to it really.

I completely understand you I been struggling with math for years and I'm in school and your so right about if math being logical why most people can't explain it to everyone I feel like only certain people get while the majority doesn't and the fact is we only need adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing most of the math we learn we will never really use unless you become a scientist or if you going the financing or business industry this is my opinion.

Math isn't stupid. Granted, the majority of the earth's population never has to do anything much more complicated than basic arithmetic, but the world would not function the way it does without mathematicians, scientists, and engineers, all of which rely very heavily on mathematics. If you don't enjoy it, that's fine, but you should realize that there's probably no reason you couldn't enjoy it with the right attitude and the right instruction.

If anything though, math is very logical. It's built on logic. Look at the organization of all the major disciplines. Logic might be considered either a subfield of philosophy or mathematics:
philosophy -> formal languages -> logic -> mathematics -> physics -> chemistry -> biology -> psychology -> anthropology -> language -> philosophy

Math is a tool and when its applied properly can be very useful. It would be like saying a saw is stupid because: "Its a saw and it cuts wood and when you use the saw on the wood the wood is now in two pieces. There isnt much to it really. So its stupid". But, in the hands of a skilled carpenter that saw can make tables chairs houses sculptures and any variety of beautiful and useful items. Just like men like Einstein Isaac Newton and Gallileo were able to use math to creat nuclear energy chart the stars and define natural phenomenon.

Havnt really thought about it like that actually but you're right there is no logic, no point you cant really see the true meaning. People master maths questions but another harder one comes along, its like a cycle that you cant master

Math isn't stupid. It builds problem solving skills. You use it almost everyday in little ways you don't really even notice. Without math, you wouldn't have most if not all that you rely on to live.

what are you gonna do about it ..europeans created math ..so deal with it ..unless europeans overpower you
