Would someone mind helping me solve this limit problem

......
limit x-->(-2)
(x+2)/(x^3 +8)

I'm confused as to how I should approach a problem like this if I do not have a calculator (as all of my exams will be). By testing numbers I can get the answer, but that's requires a calculator :/
I super appreciate assistance!

-
lim x→(-2) (x + 2) / (x³ + 8)
= lim x→(-2) (x + 2) / [(x + 2)(x² - 2x + 4)]
= lim x→(-2) (1 / (x² - 2x + 4)
= 1 / (4 + 4 + 4)
= 1/12

-
limit x-->(-2) = 1/12 = 0.0833333333333
(x+2)/(x^3 +8)
