Algebra distribution problem

Finally, you divide each side by 5 to isolate the x so you get x=2/5.------Now that you hopefully understand the concept lets do your problem.So we are going to multiply 0.381 by .05 AND -2x.......
the -4x and +4x cancel so you are left with 2=5x.

Finally, you divide each side by 5 to isolate the x so you get x=2/5.

Now that you hopefully understand the concept let's do your problem.

So we are going to multiply 0.381 by .05 AND -2x.

You get: .01905-.762x=x

So now we solve for x (isolate it).

Add .762x to each side so you get..

.01905=1.762x

Now divide each side by 1.762 and you get:

.0108=x

However, if you round this you would get .011

Hope this helps! :)

x = 0.0108116 according to WolframAlpha.com, the web's sophisticated math engine

0.381(0.05) - 0.381(2x) = x
0.381/20 = 1.762x
x = 0.381 / 20 / 1.762 which is WolframAlpha's result

0.019050 -0.762x =x

1.762x = -.019050

x =- .010812

she rounded but I get a negative number
