i am goin to be a sophomore i took algebra 1 in 8th and failed. now my freshman year i wasnt given algebra 1 i got geom. and math models and i passed them both and i got 2 credits for them(i need 4 credits) i supposed to move on to algebra 2 this year but before my freshman year ended we got a pre-schedule and i got algebra 1 however people say that that schedule has nothin to do with our real schedule am i goin to have to take algebra 1 or can i just move on with algebra 2 with out any future problem?

You will need to read up on the pre-requisites for Algebra 2 in your institute.
This can usually be found on the institute's website, unless information on the different courses and modules are not posted up there. If that is the case, you will need to ask your lecturer/tutor for advice (Don't take your peers' advice as lecturer/tutor advice).
In most institutes, passing Algebra 1 is a must for you to take up Algebra 2, whereas in some others institute, having taken up Algebra 1 before is good enough for you to take Algebra 2.
In the former case, you will be forced to take up Algebra 1 once again.
In any case, it is best to sort this out first before your semester starts, but do be prepared for the worst though.
